Our Services:
Vulnerability Assessment
A Vulnerability Assessment is the process of identifying, quantifying and prioritizing the vulnerabilities of your organization. While conducting a VA, we use a multi-layer process which starts with the surrounding community and then continues to narrow in scope, down to each individual room of the facility. A VA also includes the examination of existing “Crisis Plans”, evacuation procedures and emergency communications.
At the conclusion, you will be provided with the final report which includes a risk index identifying all concerns in an order of importance. This is also accompanied by a formal meeting to discuss concerns and answer questions.Awareness Seminar
The Awareness seminar is a four hour presentation which includes lecture, discussion, and group exercises. The seminar covers a history of related events, prevention vs. preparation, the crisis management cycle, and organizational team building to start your own crisis management program. It is designed to improve awareness of critical issues and will introduce a perspective on crisis management that you have likely never considered.
Crisis Plan Development
A crisis plan is an all hazards approach document which delineates authority and procedures to be enacted during a critical event. There is no valid “cut and paste” process for this and in the same thought, using another organization’s plan for anything more than a guide is bad practice. Using experience and industry accepted best practices; your Troas consultant will guide you through the process of authoring, training, and testing your plan.
Threat Assessment Team Development
When an employee reports a peer’s unusual comments or a teacher notices dark journal entries in a student’s written work, how do you know if this is someone who is “just venting” or a valid threat of impending targeted violence? A Threat Assessment is a tool used to examine a specific event or person’s actions to determine when action is needed such as discipline, counseling, or law enforcement intervention. The Troas Group will help you establish, train, and maintain a Threat Assessment Team, comprised of a multi-discipline group from within your organization, who can examine these incidents and make recommendations regarding further action.
Single Event Planning
While planning your next graduation ceremony, concert or conference; be sure to include a valid crisis plan for the unthinkable. The Troas Group can help you with all the details including everything from parking and traffic to medical or other emergencies. Making sure your next fund raiser is thoroughly planned will ensure it doesn’t turn into your next legal liability.
Group Training & Drill
Do you hold your fire drill on the same day every month with all the lights on? Is your lock down procedure dependant on the building’s PA system which requires electricity? Training for critical events should occur under realistic conditions instead of ideal conditions. Training, however; should not look like the set of a horror movie, causing stress and fear. Let The Troas Group author, organize, and choreograph your next drill or training session to ensure this is a productive learning period.
